The Story
Hasami Porcelain's Sugar Pot Black has a clean cylinder shape, merely intermitted by the u-shaped dent for a sugar spoon to rest in. This black finish has the same characteristic raw touch as their natural porcelain, but finished with an elegant black pigment. Matte in texture and color, the natural material underneath is still subtly visible.
Created from porcelain made from natural Amakusa pottery stones mixed with potter's clay, the appeal of Hasami Porcelain lies in its textured feel on your lips and in your hands. This sugar pot is much more sleek and refined than earthenware, yet compared to ordinary porcelain its texture is pleasantly organic-feeling.
